Pricing and Quotas

Kubernetes Engine pricing

For details about the specifications and pricing of the Kubernetes Engine service, please refer to the Pricing Guide on the KakaoCloud website.

Quota

A quota refers to the maximum amount or number of resources that can be created within a single organization or project in KakaoCloud. You can request a quota increase for items that can be expanded, and if necessary, please request it via the Helpdesk.
The default resource quotas for Kubernetes Engine are as follows.

ItemQuotaExpansion RequestDescription
Cluster10 per projectAvailableThe maximum number of clusters that can be created per project
- If additional clusters are required, you can request an increase through the Helpdesk
Node pool20 per clusterAvailableThe maximum number of node pools that can be created per cluster
- If additional node pools are required, you can request an increase through the Helpdesk
Node100 per clusterAvailableThe maximum number of nodes that can be created per cluster
- However, for Bare Metal Server types, up to 5 nodes can be created per cluster
- If additional nodes are required, you can request an increase through the Helpdesk
info
  • Quotas set limits on the resources allowed for the user and can help predict and manage costs through restrictions, though they may not always match actual resource usage. Therefore, even if a quota is assigned, please be sure to check the status of the resources in use and the associated billing.
  • If the project quota for automatically generated resources (instances, volumes, security groups) is exceeded, new resources for Kubernetes Engine (clusters, node pools, nodes) cannot be created.
