Overview of Advanced Managed Prometheus

KakaoCloud Advanced Managed Prometheus is a high-performance managed monitoring service that enables efficient collection, storage, and analysis of metric data in cloud-native environments. It is designed to reliably handle large-scale data from Kubernetes, VMs, and applications, and provides cloud-optimized scalability and stability based on the core features of Prometheus.

Purpose and use cases​

Collecting and processing vast amounts of metric data in cloud environments involves high technical requirements and operational overhead.
Managing Prometheus directly can lead to limitations in scalability, operational complexity, and challenges in real-time responsiveness. These issues may include restricted data storage capacity and processing speed, the difficulty of cluster setup and maintenance, and inability to detect failures in advance.

Advanced Managed Prometheus is designed to solve these operational challenges. It collects metric data in real time without delays or loss, detects failures early, and ensures service stability. It automates installation, configuration, backup, and disaster recovery of Prometheus, reducing operational burden and allowing users to focus on business logic and performance optimization instead of infrastructure management.
In Kubernetes environments, it effectively manages large-scale container workloads and significantly enhances visibility of cloud-native applications.
