Release Notes

June 9, 2026

Feature improvements

  • Metric charts and thresholds can now be viewed together when creating metric alert policies. This allows users to set thresholds more intuitively based on actual metric trends.
  • Functions have been added when creating metric alert policies. Users can use functions such as Average, Sum, Max, and Min to analyze metric data more flexibly and configure alert conditions.
  • Metric filters have been added when creating metric alert policies. This allows users to select only metrics that match specific resources or conditions and configure more granular alert policies.
  • Condition names have been added when creating metric alert policies. Users can name each condition to identify conditions more easily in alert policies and alert messages.
  • The value display format has been improved when metric values or thresholds are represented as large numbers. Values above a certain number of digits are displayed in exponential notation, such as 1.275e+09, to improve readability.
  • The metric alert message template has changed with the addition of condition names. When an alert occurs, users can more clearly identify which condition triggered the alert.
  • The metric threshold unit system has been improved. Previously, various units such as Bytes and MBytes were mixed, but only minimum units such as Bytes are now used.
  • For more information about alert policies, see Create alert policy.

March 13, 2026

GPU alert policy migration

  • As the KakaoCloud GPU service has been integrated into Virtual Machine, all alert policies created for the GPU service in Alert Center have been changed to Virtual Machine alert policies. For more information about alert policies, see Create alert policy.

February 26, 2026

  • Following the deployment of the KakaoCloud Virtual Machine service, alerts can now be configured for project events that occur in Virtual Machine (Snapshot Create Success, Snapshot Create Failure, Snapshot Delete Success, Snapshot Delete Failure). For details on creating alert policies and the list of Virtual Machine project events that support alert configuration, see Create alert policy and Virtual Machine.

New features

  • Added a Mandatory notice feature that sends email notifications to customers to ensure the continuous functionality of KakaoCloud products and services.
  • Since mandatory notices are sent at the organization level, they can only be accessed by users with organization roles.
  • For more details, please refer to the Mandatory notice guide.

For details on creating alert policies and the list of VPC project events available for alert configuration, refer to the Create alert policy and VPC documents.

June 13, 2025

Reduced supported services

  • Due to the removal of certificate management functionality from the KakaoCloud CDN service, alerts based on related project events (Certificate Expire Alarm) are no longer available. Accordingly, CDN has been excluded from the list of services that support event alert configuration in Alert Center. For a list of services that support alert settings by event condition type, refer to the Services supporting alert configuration by event condition type document.

May 30, 2025

Feature Added

  • When creating an alert policy, you can now apply resource-based filter conditions to specific event types.
Filters support exact name matching, starts with/ends with conditions, substring containment, and regular expression patterns to help you define more precise alert targets.

  • Alert Center now uses the same event data as Cloud Trail, and resource types are displayed below each event name, making it easier to identify events at a glance.

  • For more details on alert policy concepts and how to create them, see the Alert policies and Create alert policy documentation.

May 20, 2025
