View alert history and set silence
You can view alert history generated by configured alert policies and set silence to suppress recurring alerts. For information on creating alert policies, see Create and manage alert policies.
Currently, silence can only be set for alerts generated by alert policies with the metric condition type.
View alert history
You can view alert history generated by configured alert policies.

Go to KakaoCloud Console > Management > Alert Center.

Click Alert history (for organizations, click Alert history (organization)), and then check the alerts in the Alerts tab.

- If an alert is delivered via a receiving channel, you can access the Alert history page by clicking the [Set silence] button in the message.
- On mobile devices, clicking the [Set silence] button will directly take you to the Silence settings page, where you can easily suppress alerts without additional condition settings.
Create silence
You can create silence to suppress recurring alerts.

Go to KakaoCloud Console > Management > Alert Center.

Click Alert history (for organizations, click Alert history (organization)), and then click [Create silence].

In the Create silence pop-up, enter the required information and click [Save].
Item Description Time settings Set the period for which alerts will be suppressed
- Quick settings: Enter the duration for silence from the current time
ㄴ Default: 2h (2 hours)
ㄴ Supported units: weeks (w), days (d), hours (h), minutes (m)
- Manual settings: Directly select start and end timesService Select the service to silence
- Only services with existing alert policies can be selectedMetric item Select the metric item to silence
- If you want to silence based only on labels without specifying a metric, select "All metrics"
- If "All metrics" is selected, at least one label must be specifiedLabels Enter the label to silence

- To check labels of a specific metric, go to Monitoring > Metric Explorer and query the desired metricCreator ID of the user creating the silence Description Reason for creating the silence
View silence
You can check the details of configured silence.

Modify silence
You can edit an existing silence.

Go to KakaoCloud Console > Management > Alert Center.

Click Alert history (for organizations, click Alert history (organization)), and then click [More] or the [Edit] button in the top-right corner of the silence details page.

In the Edit silence pop-up, update the information and click [Save].

- Start time is set to the original value, so you must set it to a time after the current time
- When time settings are updated, the existing silence is marked asExpired

Delete silence
You can delete silences in the Expired
state.
Once an expired silence is deleted, it cannot be recreated.
- Go to KakaoCloud Console > Management > Alert Center.
- Click Alert history (for organizations, click Alert history (organization)), and then click [More] or the [Delete] button in the top-right corner of the silence details page for a silence in the
Expired
state. - In the Delete silence pop-up, check the confirmation message and click [Delete].
