Cloud Trail Overview
KakaoCloud Cloud Trail automatically collects and records user activity. It is designed to help you easily track and manage activities such as logins and resource creation, modification, and deletion.
In Cloud Trail, an individual record of user activity is called an "event," and the actor who performs the activity recorded in an event is called a "user." All activities, such as creating a resource or changing its specifications, are recorded in Cloud Trail.
You can view events from the last 90 days within a project in the console and use them as audit data to verify compliance with security policies. You can also identify recent activity in the project and the user who performed each activity.
The events collected by Cloud Trail are divided into organization events that occur at the organization level and project events that occur at the project level. You can check detailed event lists by service in Events by service.
KakaoCloud Cloud Trail focuses on automatically collecting and recording user activity. To monitor servers, networks, applications, and resource status rather than user activity, see Monitoring.
Purpose and use cases
Without security monitoring, detecting and responding to security events in real time can be difficult, increasing security risks in a cloud environment. Tracing the cause and scope of a security incident can also be difficult. Use Cloud Trail to monitor and record all activity in your cloud environment to strengthen cloud security, meet compliance requirements, use resources efficiently, and detect abnormal activity.
