Configure schedule for scheduled task

To execute a Maintenance task, a schedule must be set. A reservation schedule can be set for the entire task or for individual resources, and the task will run automatically within about 15 minutes of the scheduled time.

Only one task can be scheduled for the same resource at the same time.

  • Schedule can be set starting 24 hours from the current time.
  • Reserved task starts within 15 minutes of the set time.
  • Time slots already reserved for another task on the same resource cannot be selected.
  1. Go to KakaoCloud console > Management > Maintenance.
  2. Navigate to Scheduled menu and select a task to configure.
  3. Click [Set schedule] button at the top right.
  4. Check resource status in target resources and select resources to execute the task.
    • Only resources in Pending, Failed, or Excluded status can be selected.
    • If a resource has failed three or more times, schedule setting is temporarily restricted.
  5. Click [Next] button at the bottom to review selected resources.
  6. In Set schedule window, select date and time for executing the update.
    • Resources that should not be included can be excluded from the task.
  7. Review reserved schedule and selected resources, then click [Confirm] button at the bottom to complete schedule configuration.
  8. Configured schedule can be checked in Task schedule of target resources tab in details.
    • Click [View user schedule] button at the top right of Scheduled menu or detail screen to check resources and execution status by schedule.
    • Recommended schedule is a suggested fixed schedule; actual reserved schedule can be checked in resource task schedule.

Check user task schedule

Use user schedule view function to check resource list included in the same schedule and their current execution status.

  1. Go to KakaoCloud console > Management > Maintenance.
  2. Navigate to Scheduled menu and click [View user schedule] button at the top right.

    Or click a task name to open details, then click [View user schedule] button at the top right.
    • If no schedule is set, a User reservation required badge is displayed, and no data appears in user schedule list.
  3. Check resource count and status by task schedule.
  4. Click the count to move to target resources tab in details and check execution status by resource.

Modify scheduled task

Modify reserved task schedule before its scheduled time arrives.

  1. Go to KakaoCloud console > Management > Maintenance.
  2. Navigate to Scheduled menu and select a task to modify.
  3. Click [Set schedule] button at the top right.
  4. Check resource status and select resources to modify schedule.
    • Only resources in Reserved, Pending, Failed, or Excluded status can be selected.
    • If a resource has failed three or more times, schedule setting is temporarily restricted.
  5. Click [Next] button at the bottom to review selected resources.
  6. In Set schedule window, select new date and time for executing the update.
    • Resources that should not be included can be excluded from the task.
  7. Review modified schedule and selected resources, then click [Confirm] button at the bottom to complete schedule modification.
