New console UI transition​

  • The previous console UI is no longer supported.

Features added​

  • Per-resource access control has been added to strengthen security. When access control is enabled, you can configure allowed subjects. To add allowed subjects, an IAM service role is required.
  • Bulk actions are supported to improve resource management, including secret deletion, allowed subject deletion, immediate version destruction, destruction scheduling, and cancellation.

KMS service role required for secret encryption​

  • The KMS User role has been added to KMS. This role can view keys and perform cryptographic operations. To encrypt and decrypt secrets using KMS keys, you need an IAM role that includes at least this role.
Required action

If you only have the Secrets Manager Manager role, you must be assigned at least the KMS User role to perform secret encryption operations.

Secrets Manager launch​

  • KakaoCloud's Secrets Manager service enables you to separate sensitive information (secrets) such as API keys and database credentials that might otherwise be hardcoded in code, and securely and systematically create, store, and manage them centrally. For more details, refer to the official Secrets Manager documentation.
