Change or reset password
You can change the password from the KakaoCloud sign-in page or from the KakaoCloud console.
Password policy
To prevent customer information from being leaked or misused, avoid using passwords that are easy to guess or easy to obtain through password guessing attacks.
The KakaoCloud console login password policy is as follows.
- Set a password of 9–30 characters using a combination of uppercase letters, lowercase letters, special characters, and numbers.
- The last 3 previously used passwords cannot be reused.
- Sequential keyboard strings or numbers of 3 or more characters cannot be used.
- The same character cannot be repeated 3 or more times.
- If password entry fails 5 times or more, password reset is required.
Change from sign-in page
If you forgot or want to change your password, you can reset the password from the sign-in page.

Go to the KakaoCloud Console and enter the organization name, then click the Next button.

Click the Reset password button on the console sign-in page.

Reset password -
Enter the cloud account ID (email), then click the Send password reset email button.

Go to the email and click the Reset password button in the Cloud account password reset notification email.

Enter the new password, then click the Reset password button.

Sign in with the new password.
Change from console
If you are already signed in to the console, you can change the password from the account settings menu in the upper-right corner.

Select Account information from the profile in the upper-right corner of the KakaoCloud console.

Enter the password to change, then click the Change button.

Sign in again with the changed password.
Use the sign-in session and token expiration optionWhen changing your password, you can select the Expire sign-in session and tokens option to enhance security. If this option is enabled, you are signed out of the console immediately after the change, and all previously issued access tokens, including tokens for API calls, are invalidated immediately.
- Note: This action cannot be undone. In particular, if you issue tokens and use them to integrate with external services, service operations may be affected. Use this option carefully and only when necessary, such as when account compromise is suspected.
