Step 3. Register users and assign organization roles

  • This step can be performed by the Org Owner or Org Admin according to KakaoCloud's IAM roles.
  • This guide focuses on assigning organization roles. For project roles, refer to Assign project roles.

Register users to organization

In order for users to access KakaoCloud console services, the Org Onwer or Org Admin should first register users to the organization.

Here’s how to register users to your cloud organization:

  1. Go to the KakaoCloud console > Management > IAM > Users menu.

  2. Click the [Register user] button.

  3. Choose between Register user or Register users in bulk.

    • Register user: Add users one by one.
    • Register users in bulk: Add up to 100 users at once.
  4. Enter the required user information and click [Register].

  5. Confirm that the users have been added in the user list.

Assign organization roles

Organization-level roles include Org Owner/Admin, Billing Admin/Manager/Viewer, and others.

Note

Users should be register to the organization before you can assign organization or project-level roles.

  1. Go to the KakaoCloud console > Management > IAM.

  2. Navigate to the Users menu.

  3. Select the checkbox next to the user you want to assign roles to, then click the Modify organizational role option from the [More] menu.

  4. In the Edit roles screen, choose the roles to assign and click [Modify].

    • For detailed permissions by role, refer to IAM roles.
  5. Confirm the assigned roles in the user list.
