Step 1. Create cloud account

Before you start

To use KakaoCloud services, the primary cloud administrator of the organization must first create a cloud organization account through sign-up. Before signing up, prepare the business registration certificate copy and contact information (representative name, phone number, address) in advance.

Information

All KakaoCloud services use IAM (Identity and Access Management) based on Role Based Access Control (RBAC). By assigning roles to users, you can configure permissions to control users, organizations, and projects. For detailed permissions by IAM role, refer to IAM roles.

• The user who first creates the KakaoCloud organization account becomes the Organization owner, which has the highest administrative privileges in the organization. The Organization administrator and Billing administrator roles are automatically assigned to the organization owner.
  
• Therefore, this step should be performed by the primary cloud administrator of the organization.

Create cloud organization account

Signing up on the KakaoCloud site consists of three steps: Agree to terms → Enter user information → Enter cloud organization information. Through this process, you can create an organization account to use KakaoCloud.

Follow the steps below to create an organization account in KakaoCloud.

1. Go to the KakaoCloud website and click the Sign up button in the upper-right corner.

2. Agree to all required terms and click the Next button.

3. Enter the required user information to create a KakaoCloud account, then click the Next button.

   Item	Description
   Business registration certificate	Click the Upload file button and upload a copy of the business registration certificate - This is a required step to start the KakaoCloud sign-up process
   Business registration number	Enter the business registration number from the certificate, then click Verify
   Billing and tax invoice email	Enter the email address of the organization billing contact
   Company name	Company name listed on the business registration certificate
   Representative name	Representative name listed on the business registration certificate
   Representative phone number	Main phone number of the business
   Address	Business address
   Business type	Business type listed on the business registration certificate
   Business category	Business category listed on the business registration certificate

4. Enter the Cloud organization name that will be used as the KakaoCloud domain and the contact information of the Organization owner, then click the Submit button.

   Item	Description
   Cloud organization name	Enter the KakaoCloud organization name, then click Check - Required when all users, including administrators, sign in to the console
   Contact name	Name of the contact who will receive the Organization owner role
   Contact email address	Email address of the contact who will receive the Organization owner role - Used as the ID when signing in to the console
   Mobile phone number	Mobile phone number of the contact

   caution

   You must set the initial password within 7 days after receiving the email to sign in to the console.
   

   • If 7 days have passed, you can Reset password from the KakaoCloud sign-in page.

5. Go to the KakaoCloud Console, enter the organization name, and click the Next button.

6. Enter the cloud account (email) and password, then click the Sign in button.
