API Overview

The Resource Explorer API is a RESTful API that allows you to programmatically query and manage tags for resources on KakaoCloud.
It enables resource querying, tag creation and management, and tag assignment without using the console.

This guide documents the existing Resource Explorer API. For new Resource Explorer API integrations on KakaoCloud Public Cloud, use the endpoint and request/response schema provided in the OpenAPI documentation. Currently, the Resource Explorer OpenAPI provides only the List resources API and uses a different endpoint from the existing API.

API basics​

  • All API responses are provided in JSON format.
  • To call the API, you must obtain an IAM Access Key ID and a Secret Access Key.

Prerequisites​

Refer to the Preparing to Use the API documentation for instructions on configuring the necessary IAM permissions and obtaining authentication keys.
