Assign tag

Tag assignment allows you to connect tags to selected resources, or modify or delete existing tags. The tag assignment task is processed asynchronously, and it may take some time to complete. Furthermore, if tag creation, deletion, or assignment tasks are in progress, the next request can only be processed after all tasks are completed.

  1. Go to KakaoCloud Console > Management > Resource Explorer.

  2. Click the [Assign tag] button under the Resources menu.

  3. Select the resource you want to assign a tag to from the resource list on the Assign tag page.

  4. Set the tag key and value to be added or modified, or the tag key and value to be deleted.

    Add/modify tag- Click the [+ Add Item] button to select the key and value to apply the task
    - You can add or modify up to 50 tags at once
    - For resources without the specified key, a new tag will be added. If the key already exists, the value will be overwritten with the input value.
    Delete tag- Click the [+ Add Item] button to select the key and value to apply the task
    - Up to 100 tags can be deleted at once
    - Deletion is based on the precise tag removal method using the key-value match condition
    - Tag deletion steps
     1. When the key to be deleted is selected, all values registered with that key will be listed
     2. Select multiple values from the list to delete
     3. Only the selected key-value pairs will be deleted from the resource
      Example: If Environment:dev and Environment:prod tags exist on different resources,
      select Environment as the key and dev as the value to delete only the Environment:dev tag while keeping the prod tag.
  5. Click the [Save] button.

  6. In the pop-up, confirm the tag tasks to be applied and click the [OK] button.
