Service pricing and quotas
Virtual Machine pricing
The Virtual Machine (VM) service charges users based on the time each instance is used. Hourly pricing varies depending on the instance size.
For details on VM specifications and pricing, refer to KakaoCloud’s pricing guide.
Quotas
A quota refers to the maximum limit for creating specific resources within a KakaoCloud organization or project. Quotas can be increased upon request for supported resources.
To request a quota increase, please contact the Helpdesk.
The default quotas for Virtual Machine resources are as follows:
Menu | Item | Quota | Increase request | Description |
---|---|---|---|---|
Instance | Number of instances | 500 | Available | Maximum number of instances per project. - Additional instances can be requested via the Helpdesk. |
vCPU count | 4,000 | Available | Maximum number of virtual CPUs allocated per project | |
Memory | 8,000 GiB | Available | Maximum memory capacity allocated per project | |
Volume | Number of volumes | 1,000 | Available | Maximum number of volumes allocated per project |
Volume capacity | 100,000 GB | Available | Maximum combined volume capacity per project - Regardless of volume count | |
Number of backup volumes | 1,000 | Available | Maximum number of backup volumes per project | |
Backup volume capacity | 100,000 GB | Available | Maximum combined backup volume capacity per project | |
Number of snapshots | 500 | Available | Maximum number of snapshots per project | |
Key pair | Key pairs | 500 | Not available | Maximum number of key pairs per user in a project |
Network interface | Max network interfaces per instance | Varies by instance type | Not available | Maximum number of network interfaces attachable per instance |
Number of network interfaces | 3,500 | Available | Maximum number of network interfaces per project |
info
- The quota for network interfaces per project includes the management network interfaces that are automatically created with each service.
- For limits based on instance family and size, refer to number of network interfaces by instance family and size.
info
- Quotas define the limit of resources allowed to a user, which helps predict and manage billing, but they do not necessarily reflect actual resource usage. For details, refer to billing by instance state.
- Quotas for the number of VM instances, vCPUs, and memory are shared with Bare Metal Servers and GPU instances.
