Pricing and Quotas
Virtual Machine pricing
The Virtual Machine (VM) service charges users based on the time each instance is used. Hourly pricing varies depending on the instance size.
For details on VM specifications and pricing, refer to KakaoCloud’s pricing guide.
Quota
A quota refers to the maximum limit for creating specific resources within a KakaoCloud organization or project. Quotas can be increased upon request for supported resources.
To request a quota increase, please contact the Helpdesk.
The default quotas for Virtual Machine resources are as follows:
| Menu | Item | Quota | Increase request | Description |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Instance | Number of instances | 500 | Supported | Maximum number of instances that can be created per project. - Increase requests can be made via the Help Desk. |
| Number of vCPUs | 4,000 | Supported | Maximum number of virtual CPUs that can be allocated per project. | |
| Memory | 8,000 GiB | Supported | Maximum memory capacity that can be allocated per project. | |
| Volume | Number of volumes | 1,000 | Supported | Maximum number of volumes that can be allocated per project. |
| Volume capacity | 100,000 GB | Supported | Total volume capacity allocatable per project. - Total sum of all volume capacities regardless of the count. | |
| Number of snapshots | 1,000 | Supported | Maximum number of snapshots that can be created per project. | |
| Snapshot capacity | 100,000 GB | Supported | Total snapshot capacity allocatable per project. - Total sum of all snapshot capacities regardless of the count. | |
| Key Pair | Key Pair | 500 | Not supported | Maximum number of key pairs that can be created per user per project. |
| Network Interface | Max multi-network interfaces | Varies by type | Not supported | Maximum number of network interfaces that can be connected per instance. |
| Number of netw |
info
- The quota for network interfaces per project includes the management network interfaces that are automatically created with each service.
- For limits based on instance family and size, refer to number of network interfaces by instance family and size.
info
- Quotas define the limit of resources allowed to a user, which helps predict and manage billing, but they do not necessarily reflect actual resource usage. For details, refer to billing by instance state.
- Quotas for the number of VM instances, vCPUs, and memory are shared with Bare Metal Servers and GPU instances.
